The former Society of Technical Communication (STC) chapter in Montreal announced the new name for the organization, Ars Communica, on April 24, 2012, at the “Writing for Narration” event held at Allo Inde in Montreal. President pro tem Andy Gural commented that the name, which can mean “the skill or craft of sharing" was well received by those in attendance, and said that the organization is open to suggestions for a slogan or tagline.
